Who brings out the best in you?

Ever had those days where you feel overwhelmed and sick of giving your best?

I do.

Ever wonder if what you are giving to the world and others is actually appreciated?

I do.

Ever wonder if people love you for who you are or for what you can do for them?

I do.

I don’t like it when the little lady on my shoulder makes me second guess who I am.

Why do we always go back to the same stories we have written about who we are that are fiction?

I do. I am guilty. I always go back to not being enough. And you would think by now, I have done an edit on that story.

I have posted this quote I came across this week, shared by a friend. Because I think it is quite powerful.

As a people pleaser, so much so, to the detriment of my own self esteem, I always try to see the best in people. I feel we have to. Lead with kindness.

But what if some people in our lives aren’t best for us?

And this can be a hard bittersweet lesson for us.

I am sure many of us have had to let go of someone because we waited for them to show us, they are here for us.

I know what it is like to give and give and wait to receive the same kindness, only to be looked over, at best.

And if there is anything I have learned, there will be our chosen people the ones we show our love to and give our best to. They are the ones who show up for you and you them. They are the ones that bring out the best in you, and you for them. Those are the people you watch out for.

Big love

Fallon xoxo
