COVER ARTWORK

Neurogensis

Breeanna Hudson

Digital illustration 2020

Neurogensis illustrates the information messengers in our brain. Everything we think and feel and do is due to our neurons at work with their support cells (glial cells). The use of neurons in the artwork represents the relationship between our central nervous system and our mental wellness. They are a symbol of creating connection.

The use of bright neon colours reflect how coral use bright colourful pigments as a protective layer when it endures difficult conditions. Like the coral, we tend to wear a protective layer when we experience adversity. It is important that we contniue, like our brain cells, to create connection and to support one another so we all flourish.
